Dehydration is the lack of adequate body fluids for the body to perform its functions at the optimum. It can occur by fluid loss, lack of intake, or both together.

Causes and Risk Factors

1. Dehydration from loss. It can occur in situations:

* Vomiting
* Diarrhea
* Excessive loss in urine (polyuria)
* Profuse sweating (fever situations, for example)

Walking with Crutches Technique

* You must select an appropriate size and length of crutches for weight and height. This put the crutches close to the body from the feet, hands to pick them shoulders should not rise or leave, is what is called anatomical position.

TensionIf you suffer from hypertension (HT), a necessary part of treatment is to monitor the TA, which can be done at home, through devices called sphygmomanometers.

There are many types sphygmomanometers, but in general they all include an inflatable rubber bladder covered by a fabric sleeve, and a pressure measuring system connected to the cuff, either with a mercury column or with a metal diaphragm. Sphygmomanometers are complemented with a normal stethoscope, which may be included in the unit or be a separate item.

To take the strain, sit quietly 5 minutes, without smoking or drinking coffee with an empty bladder.

1. Put your left arm if right handed and vice versa at the height of the heart, resting on a table or chair arm.

Premature Birth

Premature birth is defined as that which occurred before 37 weeks gestation. The normal gestation period is about 40 weeks. The shorter the duration of pregnancy, increasing the chances of complication such as cerebral palsy, chronic lung disease, gastrointestinal problems, mental retardation, vision and hearing loss, including risk of premature death.

The causes that affect preterm birth are unknown in half of cases.

A premature baby is not able to be exposed to environmental conditions, which is placed in an incubator where the environment is controlled.

Causes of premature birth:

There are many causes associated with preterm birth, but there is no clear relationship between them.

• History of premature births and spontaneous abortions in the mother.
• Multiple pregnancy.
• cervical or uterine abnormalities.
• Some chronic diseases such as hypertension, kidney disease, diabetes.
• Infections cervical, uterine or urinary tract. Some sexually transmitted diseases.
• Drug use (alcohol, snuff, drugs).
• Women who perform treatments to conceive for over a year.
• Women under 18 years and over 35 years.
• Poor nutrition during pregnancy.
• Bleeding after childbirth.
• Pre-eclipse.

Treatment of Minor Burns

To treat minor burns or first degree burns at home:

* Refreshes the skin using cold water 10 to 30 minutes. It is best to do so during the first 20 minutes after the injury occur. This is to prevent the burn worse.

* Do not use ice, iced water, creams or greasy substances like butter to relieve pain. A cold bath or shower will help relieve the pain.

* Cover the burn temporarily with a transparent film, loosely, or with a plastic bag.

* If the injury is painful, can a painkiller such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen can help relieve pain. Anyway, you always check the instructions on the medicine and take the proper dosage.

* Do not touch the burn or break blisters. If the burn is very painful, or appears to worsen, consult a doctor.

Or deep burns affecting a large area of skin, face or joints, must always be checked by a doctor and may need hospital treatment. Such burns may be second-degree burns or third degree burns.

The reactions can be divided into 3 groups:

* No immune.
* Immunologic.
* No defined mechanism.

1. Immunological reactions:

Are responses of tissues to the venom components with a high power drug and enzyme. These reactions usually appear between 24 and 48 hours after the bite. They are presented with a swelling around the site of the bite of a smaller diameter of 10 cm., Pain more or less strong depending on the site of the bite (higher in the limbs). Muscle Cramps

A seizure is a deliberate and painful contraction of muscles or muscle groups (see Muscular System). Usually in the extremities, most often in the legs, which affects the calf muscles or back muscles. Sometimes arise unexpectedly during sleep.
