First Aid for Eye Injuries

The correct treatment in an eye injury immediately after an accident can prevent vision loss.

* Particles in the Eyes. Do not rub your eye. Lift the upper eyelid over the lower lid allowing the lower lashes rub the particles off the inside of the upper eyelid. Blink a few times and let the eye move the particle out. If the particle remains inside the eye, keep your eye closed and seek medical help.

* Cut eye and eyelid. Seek medical help immediately. Do not attempt to wash the eye or remove any object embedded in the eye. Never apply pressure to the injured eye or eyelid. Be careful not to rub the eye. (more…)

Burns Rockets or Fireworks

Know first aid for burns is very important, because it will help to avoid initial mistakes.

In the first instance immediately remove all objects in direct contact with skin: rings, watches, bracelets, etc. Determine what type of burn is. According to depth are classified into three types: the first, second or third grade.

First-degree burns
There will be redness and burning in the affected part. Cool the burn immediately with cool water for at least 10 minutes and then cover with cold compresses. (more…)

Prepared for Burns

There are many types of burns. They can be thermal burns, electrical burns or contact burns. Each may occur in different ways, but treatment for them is very similar. Depending on the severity of the wound you will assist the person, as the doctor or ambulance arrives.

For burned thermal, chemical or contact, the first step is to run cold water over the burn for at least 30 minutes. If the victim’s clothing is stuck to the burn, do not try to remove it. Remove clothing that is not stuck to the burn by cutting. Cover the burn with a clean cloth. If you do not have a let off. Do not apply any soap, or home remedies.

If the victim has received an electrical burn, the treatment is a little different. Do not touch a victim who has been in contact with electricity unless you are clear of electrical current. (more…)

Electric shock or burn a share of the electric current is relatively frequent in the home, here are the most affected are children being unaware of the risks posed by electrical equipment, play with them and end up suffering the consequences. It also occurs when a person enters to bathe and connects the heater, we must not forget that water and water vapor are conductors of electricity.

Electric processes are characterized by the presence of two burns: an entrance hole of the electrical current and another for exit. On your way electrical flow burn all the tissues that is from the point of entry to exit, also affect the composition and function of organs and can cause death of the person.

There are first, second and third grade.
The first degree are characterized leave a red mark, may be in the sun or hot water.
The second level is where blistering: charcoal fire or on, by water or hot oil.
The third-degree burns are serious, leaving a white mark that does not hurt (because the skin has gone up, where are the nerves).

SolQuemaduras Care manageable by taking home (small):
The first-degree and second-and third-degree if they are small can be treated by applying water, and ice cream for burns and then covering the burn with a damp cloth, cold if possible. Do not throw anything else to burn.
No sun.

Severe burns:
If the burn covers a large area of skin, giving the same treatment as above and seek medical attention. (more…)

First Aid for Burns

1. Reassure the victim.
2. Assess the type and degree of burn.
3. Carefully remove rings, bracelets, watches or tight clothing and belts lying on the affected area before begins to swell.
4. Cool the burned area for several minutes, applying cold compresses clean on the injury. Do not use ice on the burned area.
5. Do not apply ointments.
6. Cover the affected area with a damp towel or clean cloth and secure with a sold loose.
7. In burns of the feet or hands, separate each finger with a wet gauze before to put the blindfold.
8. Administer a pain reliever if necessary. Observe the precautions.
9. If conscious, give plenty of fluids orally if possible saline.
10. If there are burns on face, neck put a pillow or cushion under the shoulders. Check breathing and pulse.
11. In burns of the face, cover with sterile gauze or a clean cloth, leaving holes for the nose, eyes and mouth.
12. Move victim to a hospital.

Burns occur when skin comes into contact with something hot, like fire, or due to exposure to something that radiates heat like the sun.

Some chemicals, electricity and friction can also cause burns. A scald is a burn that is caused by hot liquid or steam and the burn can be treated the same way.

Treating minor burns

Burns, normally divided into three categories depending on how much skin is affected. Superficial burns or first degree burns, affecting the skin surface, red, swollen and painful. Third-degree burns can be treated at home and usually takes between 7 and 10 days to heal. Partial burns or second degree burns and deep burns or third degree burns are more serious and require medical attention.

First aid For Homeopathy

The usual dose is 3 pellets 3 or 4 times a day. The granules are left under the tongue until it is diluted. External applications of the tincture should be diluted in sterile water. If symptoms persist or worsen medical consultation.

Contusions and hematomas. 30 CH Arnica helps relieve pain and inflammation that occurs after a fall or blow.

Wounds, abrasions and lacerations. Calendula 30 CH can be used to help heal the wound and prevent infection. Calendula as a tincture can be diluted in water and used to clean a wound.
